Rowena Crosbie is Founder and President of Tero International, Inc., a corporate training company headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. Ro's commitment to help people challenge the way they think combined with her solid background of great communication skills ignites a passion in her listeners which endures long after her presentations are over. Her ability to inspire audiences has consistently earned her reviews as a top-rated speaker and trainer. The design of her programs takes the wisdom of many years of research from the philosophical to the practical for her listeners. People who leave her sessions, leave with useful tools to become the very best they can be in both their personal and professional lives. She is a Past President of the Central Iowa Chapter of ASTD and a past Board member of the National Management Association of Iowa. Ro also served as an Advisory Board member of the America Reads, America Counts Program in Iowa. She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Management. Ro is certified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment inventory and the FIRO-B. In 2004, Ro was named Executive of the Year by Executive Women International, Iowa Chapter. Ro graduated from the University of Manitoba in Management and Administration. She is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and a member of the Des Moines Rotary A.M.
Deborah Rinner is the Director of International Protocol and Corporate Etiquette Programs for Tero International. Deborah brings expertise on protocol issues that arise daily in business situations, and that are pertinent to presenting a positive image in our changing times. A corporate interculturalist, Deborah studies in Portland, Oregon each year at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication. Her coursework focuses on intercultural communication and competence and its application to the business environment. She is also certified as a Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol consultant by the Protocol School of Washington, D.C., Working for over a decade in the business etiquette and international protocol field, Deborah has also completed coursework on fundamentals of intercultural communication, training design in intercultural communication, managing intercultural virtual teams, facilitating developmental interventions in intercultural communication, cross cultural training in international organizations, coaching global executives, and emotional intelligence and diversity. She provides International Executive Development Coaching and is trained and certified to administer the Intercultural Developmental Inventory, an individualized assessment that measures one's ability to manage and relate to diverse cultures. Deborah has had the opportunity to administer and coach over seventy five international employees representing Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and the U.S. in the Intercultural Developmental Inventory as part of Tero International's leadership training team. Deborah is an experienced keynoter addressing audiences in corporate cross cultural communication and organizational applications of etiquette and protocol. Deborah has a Masters Degree from Drake University in Education, and has been an educator, trainer and consultant in the public and private sector for over twenty five years. She is a frequent contributor to news columns and radio broadcasts and a member of the Association of Training and Development, American Women in Communication, and Protocol and Diplomacy Officers International.
Jennifer Chittenden is a Client Relations Coordinator. She establishes and maintains solid relationships with our clients, ensuring the quality experience that Tero promises. Jennifer relocated to the Des Moines area at the beginning of 2005 with her husband and son, and carries a diverse set of skills and interests. Prior to Tero, Jennifer was the Recruitment Team Coordinator at Gazette Communications in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she worked with the Recruitment Team to establish better selling and prospecting methods. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies. While at Iowa, she held a marketing internship with the University of Iowa Learning & Development, who offers a variety of interpersonal communication and development seminars to the University's staff and area companies. Jennifer serves as Vice President of Programming for the Central Iowa Chapter of ASTD.
Marcie Osmundson's professional teaching experience spans 42 years. Since retiring from a rewarding career in the public schools, Marcie now enjoys her roles as an Educational Consultant for Tero and a faculty member at Iowa State University. Marcie's professional objective is to promote quality life and education through design and facilitation of innovative programs. Her unconventional teaching methods have long stood the test of time and studies in emerging fields of research have confirmed her entrepreneurial approach to education was well ahead of its time. She is a much sought after speaker in business on the subjects of Total Quality Management and Quality In Education. Marcie earned her M. S. in Education and Curriculum from Drake University, her B. S. in Education from Drake University and attended Waldorf College, Pre-Professional, Elementary Education.
Carlos Alvarez brings 12 years corporate training involvement to the Tero team. His training experience includes the banking and insurance fields. His strong presence in front of a group, great sense of humor and ability to actively engage participants in the training session ensure that people leave his sessions with take-away value they can use immediately. His enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude are contagious and he consistently earns high marks from those attending his presentations. Carlos' continued study in the fields of psychology and sociology have helped him realize that people of all ages can grow professionally and personally. He is excited to be in a position to assist people grow in their skill development to be the best they can possibly be. Carlos is an Upper Iowa University graduate.
Julie Stillman has been in the training and performance improvement field since 1991. She has been instrumental in the development, facilitation and evaluation of corporate training programs in business and associations. Prior to joining Tero, she was the Director of Employee Development and Communications for Principal Residential Mortgage Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Principal Financial Group. She was responsible for training and development, coordination and delivery of company meetings and internal employee communications. Julie previously has been an instructor at Hamilton College where she facilitated the Career Development Strategies Course and Human Dynamics. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development and is a past president of the Central Iowa Chapter of ASTD. Julie is a graduate of the Association of Business and Industry (ABIs) Leadership Iowa program. She is certified in Predictive Index, an employment-testing instrument used in coaching and employee training and development programs. Julie is also certified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment inventory. She holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education from Drake University.
Since 1991 Becky Rupiper-Greene has been training corporate employees, college students, politicians and individuals in the art of projecting a professional image. Her clients know her as a dynamic presenter, and find that her powerful, yet practical tips help them reach their full potential through the increased credibility and confidence that having a polished appearance can bring. Becky is certified through the London Image Institute and is a graduate of the Fashion & Art Institute of Dallas. She is a certified and active member of the Association of Image Consultants International.
Ann Block works with organizations to assess how macro and micro trends, along with organizational changes, are impacting the human dynamics in business. This assessment helps Tero clients ensure that the employee development initiatives they choose to implement are closely matched to organizational goals and don't risk falling into the category of 'training du jour'. Ann brings more than 25 years experience to her role. Prior to joining Tero, she was a Manager with training and human resources responsibilities at Principal Financial Group, an Educational Assistant with Sacred Heart School, a Learning Consultant for VisionPoint and an Independent HR Consultant. Ann holds a Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) designation. She earned her B. A. from the University of Northern Iowa.
Sirintaraporn (Start) Soratkittiya joined Tero in 2006. Start serves Tero clients through assisting with the research and development of Tero's WorldClass training program designed to help business people successfully navigate the challenges presented when working cross-culturally. She also assists with program research, design and development on several other Tero programs. Start brings seven years of experience working in global organizations to her role at Tero. Research, training, development and human performance improvement are her areas of professional interest. She has a special interest in Tero's business etiquette and image programs. When her formal studies are completed, Start looks forward to a career in this field helping adults enhance their performance. Start earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature at Thammasat University in Bankok, Thailand. She earned her M.P.A. in Executive Development from Drake University in Des Moines Iowa and is currently completing a Post-Masters Certificate in Adult Learning, Performance and Development at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
