Jeannie brings 30 years of education, production, and media experience to Tero clients. As an experienced television producer, programmer, and on-air and voice-over talent with varied experience in public broadcasting, Jeannie has developed a wide variety of communication and performance skills throughout her career.

As assistant director for education at IPTV, she produced licensed, scheduled and evaluated content for broadcast and the Web. She also managed communications in print, email and on the Web for a statewide audience of 45,000 educators. She helped to coordinate IPTV's annual Digital Symposium that drew attendees from across the country. As the executive producer of "Intelligent Talk Television," she produced nearly 80 programs spotlighting dignitaries such as the Dalai Lama, Kofi Annan, Arianna Huffington, Bill Gates and Cloris Leachman.

Jeannie started her professional career as a high school vocal music teacher, and was recognized as a master teacher before joining Iowa Public Television in 1989. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Dakota with degrees in vocal performance and education. After 11 years of classroom experience, Jeannie earned her MA in Public Relations/Mass Communication from Drake University and put her advanced degree to work at Iowa Public Television where she worked for 21 years.

Jeannie has served as:

• Co-chair of the Iowa Math & Science Coalition

• Chair of the Iowa Adult Literacy Council

• Administrator of PBS TeacherLine, a statewide online professional development project

• Chairman of the National Educational Telecommunications Assn. Education Council

• President of the Civic Music Association in Des Moines

• Advisory committee member for PBS educational productions and Web sites

She has also appeared in several community theater productions and performed as a jazz and pop vocalist.

Jeannie is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association VASTA.
