Making the Best First Impression

Professional Polish Tip from Becky Rupiper-Greene

Jessica inquired about guidelines for making the best first impression.

First impressions can form lasting opinions.

Shoes are one of the first things people notice so always put your best foot forward. Are they appropriate for the occasion? Do they need to be polished? Unfortunately, scuffed or dated shoes potentially imply that what you have to offer may also be lacking or dated as well.

Your hands are constantly on display. Keeping hands clean and nails well trimmed is essential. Neglected hands suggest possible neglect elsewhere.

Don't let an unfavorable first glance keep you from getting a second chance.
