More About Making Homerun Presentations

Professional Polish Tip from Carlos Alvarez

Yesterday we covered effective presentations. Today we will address this issue in more detail and go through the bases.

First base - Listen

A hit to first base means that you have your audience's attention and they are listening.

Second base - Understand

Second base is about comprehension or understanding of the material presented. At this point, the audience is not only listening; they are also understanding the message.

Third base - Learn

Third base is where learning occurs. The audience has heard, understood and is able to retain the information.

Fourth base - Persuade

Research shows that there are two types of presentations - to inform or to persuade. At Tero, we strongly believe that there is only one goal in your presentation - every presentation should persuade.
