In such cases people often cave in or they are too nice. This is called Accommodation and is common.

Aggressiveness to win at all costs is another common behavior.

Neither are as effective as the win/win behavior of Collaboration.

Taking time and effort in our daily interactions to learn and practice skills such as personal mastery, non-verbal communications, listening, asking questions, rapport-building and assertiveness will equip you with many of the skills effective negotiators possess.

Competent use of these skills translates into confidence needed in high stakes negotiations.
