Executive Coaching. Can it catapult business success? Apparently the success of coaching is impacted greatly by two considerations.

A recent survey cited in the Harvard Business Review determined there are two basic rules for hiring a coach. First, make sure the coaching candidate is ready and willing to be coached. Secondly, let the candidate choose the coach to work with. "Willingness and good chemistry are the most frequently cited ingredients of a coaching relationship", states P. Anne Scoular, London Business School.

Aside from those characteristics, other factors do matter. Finding a coach that has experience coaching similar situations was reported as a plus, as well as making sure the coach had a clear methodology.

This month we devote the eZine to the subject of executive coaching. The Q and A examines how to manage a coaching relationship. The development activity provides a self-analysis quiz to use in determining coaching goals. The article explores the outcome of coaching for Millennials, and the resources reflect how coaching can positively affect self-awareness and social intelligence.

The interpersonal aspects of leading, managing and contributing well in a business environment wrought with complexities is a challenge. Executive coaching that can provide solid tools, skill sets, and expertise is transformative. For the coaching candidate as well as everyone they interact with.
